POPIA Notice

Apex Training Institute is committed to processing personal information lawfully and reasonably under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Information Officer

Our Information Officer can be contacted at info@apexlearning.co.za. The Information Officer is registered with the Information Regulator (South Africa).

Lawful basis

We process personal information based on (a) your consent when you submit an enquiry, (b) the performance of a contract when you enrol in training, and (c) legal obligations such as SETA and tax reporting.

Conditions for lawful processing

• Accountability — we take responsibility for the data we hold.
• Processing limitation — we collect only what is necessary.
• Purpose specification — we tell you why we're collecting it.
• Further processing limitation — we don't reuse data for unrelated purposes.
• Information quality — we keep records accurate and current.
• Openness — this notice and our Privacy Policy describe what we do.
• Security safeguards — we use reasonable technical and organisational measures.
• Data subject participation — you can access, correct, and delete your data.

Cross-border transfers

Where data is processed outside South Africa (for example by cloud providers), we ensure equivalent protection through contractual safeguards.
